We are seeking an American Sign Language Manager to help lead and grow our rapidly expanding Video OnDemand ASL service. This role is at the center of a 24/7 operation—driving reliable coverage, smart scheduling, and strong fill rates while partnering closely with operations and recruitment to shape future staffing and boost interpreter engagement. You’ll use data, technology, and relationship-building to keep things running smoothly, all while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and delivering culturally respectful support to the D/deaf and ASL communities.

Requirements

  • BA degree or higher
  • Strong foundational understanding of D/deaf culture and communities
  • Advanced level computer skills
  • Excellent resourcefulness, ownership, and attention to detail
  • Thrives on fast-paced problem-solving and keeps daily operation stable
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication (signing is a plus)
  • Outstanding customer service and professional behavior
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Trust building and cultural respect for the D/deaf/ASL communities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation
  • Demonstrates excellent listening skills
  • Ability to interact, negotiate and communicate with people over video
  • Demonstrates ability to follow directions and contributes to problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Maintain contractor/staff consistency and commitment in a highly competitive industry
  • Maintain operational structure and fill-rates within our 24/7 on-Demand portal, minimizing and preventing service gaps
  • Schedule management using proprietary portals and scheduling platforms
  • Oversee team activities on an individual and holistic level on DoD, WoW and MoM cadences
  • Manage user accesses and settings for active members on our interactive portal
  • Building workforce retention through relationships and incentive programs
  • Working alongside operations and recruitment teams to forecast future staffing
  • Data analytics and activity tracking to optimize scheduling and success rates
  • Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards
  • Participates in continuing annual educational programs by Propio
  • Completion of daily activity logs, shifts and other documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
