About The Position

TheraPeds Partners is a Colorado based, therapist-owned and operated organization. We partner with local Colorado schools to provide American Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) services to PreK–12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Our mission is to deliver high-quality ASL (SPED) services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment.
This is a full-time, on-site role as a American Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) serving a school located in Greenwood Village, CO.
The American Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) will be responsible for providing ASL services to students in the classroom setting and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
TheraPeds Partners is seeking a full-time, on-site American Sign Language Interpreter for a school-based position in Greenwood Village, CO. Requirements

• American Sign Language Interpretation Certification
• EIPA score (3.5+)
• Passing written test
• Documentation submitted to CDE
• Fluency in ASL and English
• Strong receptive and expressive ASL skills
• Ability to interpret classroom instruction and student interactions accurately
• Background check and fingerprinting
• Ability to support students throughout the school day
• Organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
• Ability to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district

Nice To Haves

• RID certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf)
• Associate or bachelor’s degree
• Interpreter Training Program (ITP) or ASL-English interpreting degree
• Experience interpreting in K-12 classrooms
• Knowledge of IDEA and IEP processes
