About The Position

As a Banking Specialist at Amerant Bank, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by providing tailored banking solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include processing financial transactions, managing lobby activities, and supporting digital banking services. You will also educate customers about consumer and small business products, aiming to convert them into loyal clients.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a bank sales and service environment or equivalent experience with sales results.
  • Basic report writing ability and organizational skills.
  • Telephone skills and proficiency in Outlook, Internet, and MS Office (including advanced MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint).
  • Must be NMLS registered or willing to register upon accepting an employment offer.
  • Successful completion of FBI Criminal Background and credit checks within the first 30 days of employment.

  • Experience in community organizations to promote the Bank brand.
  • Knowledge of consumer and small business banking products.

Responsibilities

  • Process all manner of financial transaction requests including deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing.
  • Research and resolve issues related to end of day banking center balancing.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the ATM, cash recycler, drive-thru, and night drop.
  • Open new accounts and perform maintenance transactions on the Bank's platform system.
  • Execute operational responsibilities related to opening and maintaining all products and services.
  • Review customer account activity to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Originate new credit requests and respond to loan-related inquiries.
  • Follow Bank policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a customer advocate to enhance customer retention and engagement.
  • Resolve customer problems and ensure expectations are met.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals as defined by management.
  • Acquire, retain, and expand customer relationships by providing a positive new account experience.
  • Participate in business development activities to support market development initiatives.
