About The Position

Join our Operating Room team as an Ambulatory Surgical Technologist in a Level I Trauma Center! The Ambulatory Surgical Technologist is specifically involved with preparation of supplies, equipment and instruments for surgery; to provide and maintain a sterile field; to assist the surgical staff with technical aspects during surgery; care for equipment and medical supplies following surgery; and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of surgical technologist training program
• Minimum of three years of experience in a surgical technologist role
• Certification through National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) at time of hire
• Completion of national certification exam within 12 months of hire date
• Demonstrates competency in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at time of employment and every two years thereafter
