When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.The Pre-Admission Testing (Pre-Op Center) is a fast-paced clinic that prepares approximately 50 patients daily for surgery through assessments by providers, medical assistants, and anesthesia. The Ambulatory Surgery Center supports patients on the day of surgery, with dedicated pre-op and post-op areas managing admissions and discharges. The unit includes 16 recovery beds, 9 pre-op beds, and 4 flexible swing beds, totaling 29 patient care spacesWe are seeking a candidate with a strong perioperative nursing background-ideally in ambulatory surgery or PACU-and demonstrated leadership experience. Preferred qualifications include prior roles as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) or Charge Nurse, with experience managing patient flow, staffing, and coordination in a fast-paced surgical setting. Candidates must be confident, organized, and collaborative, with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. A leadership style that supports consistency, team cohesion, and a positive work culture is essential. Experience in transitional leadership roles (TNL) or similar interim capacities is also valued.Under the general direction of the Nurse Manager the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) practices within the Lahey Clinic Professional Practice Model, MA State nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. The ANM Supervises and coordinates the delivery of patient care on assigned unit. Assumes full management responsibility in the absence of the Nurse Manager, which includes communicating policies, effectively recommending salary actions, evaluating staff job performance and counseling staff.Areas of responsibility include:· Clinical practice· System coordination· Quality improvement· Human resource management· Unit budget· Professional growth· Self-improvementThe Assistant Nurse Manager may provide direct or indirect care to patients and in collaboration with other health care team members. The ANM maintains a current level of knowledge with leadership skills as defined by nursing specialty organizations, complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies, and is currently licensed in the state of Massachusetts as a registered nurse.
