About The Position

This full-time Ambulatory RN position, working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM, emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention. The role involves assisting patients and families through their episode of care, ensuring safety and effectiveness. The RN delegates, oversees, and provides quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care. Key functions include providing nursing care using a Family Centered approach, assessing individualized patient needs, and planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating care using Evidence-Based Practices. The RN ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy standards, works closely with providers and other team members for smooth clinic flow, addresses patient/parent concerns, and aims for positive patient and family outcomes. Documentation must adhere to organizational standards, policies, and procedures. The role also involves engaging in the "workplace community" by staying informed of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings to report important information and updates.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school
  • Must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
  • Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

  • Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes.
  • Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
