Position Summary: Responsible for telephone triage patient flow, and clinical support functions. A variety of shared responsibilities in a busy practice. Utilizes nursing assessment skills and clinical protocol guidelines in a decision-making capacity to provide timely and efficient patient care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in the state of MI.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
- Associate degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
- In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire
- Licensed in the State of Michigan
- 1 years of experience as an RN required if new grad must apply to RN residency that takes place three times a year in February, July and October
Nice To Haves
- Urodynamic experience helpful.
- Specialty credentialing preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty area preferred
Responsibilities
- Telephone triage
- Medication Refill
- New consult evaluation
- Patient education
- Performs clerical functions, all functions of a Medical Assistant, and environmental duties to support team objectives
- Provides support to Medical Assistants
- Refilling Medication
- Obtain medication prior authorizations
- Schedule appointments
- Patient education
- Performing office treatments and procedures
