The position emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as the nurse assists patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. The nurse will delegate, oversee, and provide quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care.

  • Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
  • Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates, and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes.
  • Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings.
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, required.
  • Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
