The position emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as the nurse assists patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and effectively through their episode of care. The nurse will delegate, oversee, and provide quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care. Essential functions include providing nursing care using a Family Centered approach, assessing individualized patient needs, planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating care using Evidence-Based Practices. The nurse ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance, works closely with providers and other team members to ensure smooth clinic flow, and documents according to organizational standards.
