About The Position

The position is for a full-time paramedic at the WFBMG University Group Practice in Greensboro, specifically in the Immediate Care department. The role involves working 36 hours per week, scheduled as three 12-hour shifts from 11 AM to 11 PM. The paramedic will provide patient-centered care, focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs of patients. Responsibilities include rapid evaluation of life-threatening emergencies, collaboration with the healthcare team, and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. The paramedic will also document care in the Electronic Medical Record and support evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Paramedic certification from an accredited certified paramedic program or an Associate's of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in paramedic studies.
• Three years of Emergency Service experience preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Applicable state-OEMS certification as EMT-P required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required within one year in select areas.
• Critical care certificate or national registry paramedic preferred.

• Provides and documents patient re-assessment in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Demonstrates high-level teamwork with other members of the Emergency Department Care team.
• Facilitates Optimal Patient flow through the Emergency Department.
