Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required for newly licensed nurses.
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience is required.
  • Clinical OB nursing experience over the last year is required.
  • Clinical GYN nursing experience is required.
  • Nursing experience in an ambulatory clinic/practice setting is required.
  • Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
  • The RN must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
  • Must demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
  • Must be able to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.

Nice To Haves

  • Epic documentation knowledge is preferred.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing care for patients in the Resident GYN and Resident OB clinics
  • Telephone Triage of OB and GYN Patients
  • Communicating with and providing nursing care to OB and GYN patients via Patient Gateway
  • Providing birth control counseling and education
  • Nurse Visits to administer injections and/or provide patient education on OB and GYN topics
  • Supporting and working closely with the resident team
  • Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment
