About The Position

The Ambulatory Nurse Manager is responsible for the operational management and administration of those activities which promote the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective health care. The Ambulatory Nurse Manger ensures efficient planning, staffing, coordinating and evaluating of the day to day operations. The role is accountable for the clinical practice of nurses and Medical Assistants, and achieves, promotes and supports established contemporary evidence based standards of care and practice that align with practice, policies, goals, and objectives. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Manages human, financial, and other resources needed to facilitate daily practice operations and patient care. Responsible for all training, staff competency, and independent evaluation of staff to ensure total and effective service provision to patients, staff, and physicians. Takes a primary leadership role in decision making and policy development in conjunction with key stakeholders and JMG Ambulatory leaders Provides clinical expertise to staff, medical and nursing personnel and patients. Coordinates with management to deliver outpatient services in a safe, efficient and effective manner an in compliance with JMG and Hospital policies, and all applicable regulatory agencies Participates in strategic clinical planning activities for the practice including specific goals and objectives that support the institutions strategic plan. Accountable for managing the department budget. Ensures the efficient use of staff, equipment and supplies¿Serves as the nursing management liaison by attending necessary meetings as a representative of practice and manages other duties as assigned. Manages professional behavior and coaches team members in partnership with HR to address concerns. Performs annual evaluations of direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience or at least 1 years of experience in a nursing supervisory position.
  • BLS/ ACLS Certification and Current State Nursing License

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Nursing, Public Health OR Bus Admin preferred.
