The Pulmonary Clinic LPN is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the clinic, including the delegation of defined tasks to Nursing Assistant(s) in order to achieve quality patient care while providing a safe environment for patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient assessment and triage, excellent communication and customer service skills, counseling and educating patients related to pulmonary and sleep conditions and disease processes. The Pulmonary LPN prepares patient charts with necessary medical information from referring physicians for office appointments. The Pulmonary LPN rooms pulmonary/sleep clinic patients, takes vital signs and reports patient concerns or pertinent observations to provider. The Pulmonary LPN is responsible for coordination of tests and services, assisting physicians with procedures, and accurate documentation of all patient related activities. May also perform procedures and testing under indirect physician supervision.
