About The Position

The Ambulatory Liaison is an important part of the care team at Crawfordsville East Side Family Medicine, responsible for monitoring staff quality and productivity on a regular basis. This role oversees and directs the assigned region on policies, processes, procedures, and workflows specific to ambulatory patient access functions, coordinating procedures with other departments. The position ensures compliance with ambulatory standards of performance through audits and monitoring of productivity and quality reporting, providing continuous education and training for all front office staff members. The Ambulatory Liaison will also evaluate processes and procedures to provide recommendations and deploy strategies designed to solve identified issues, prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations, and present data and analysis to the Corporate Manager and Operations team as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years provider practice setting experience, specifically in billing, collections, customer service, or cash application.
  • 1 year working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of Medical and Managed Care Contract terminology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standard Revenue Cycle procedures.
  • Previous experience as a Healthcare revenue cycle educator.
  • Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct assigned region on policies, processes, procedures, workflows specific to ambulatory patient access functions.
  • Ensure compliance with ambulatory standards of performance through audits and monitoring.
  • Provide continuous education and training for all front office staff members.
  • Define problems, collect and analyze data pertaining to PA workflow.
  • Evaluate processes and procedures to provide recommendations and deploy strategies.
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Present data and analysis to Corporate Manager and Operations team.
  • Supplement training for Operation new hires on PA process.
  • Assist with developing, coordinating, presenting, and evaluating continued education for staff.
  • Create education reports and distribute to specified management.
  • Assist with coordinating and administration of PA policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Provide specific patient teaching appropriate to age-specific population served.
  • Administer training on new processes/workflows.
  • Coordinate resources for community education.
  • Meet with staff and Operation management teams to review errors and provide education.
  • Assist with re-training schedule to enable employee to achieve skill level defined for position.
