Schedule 36 Hours per week No Nights, Weekends or Holidays Combination of 9 and 12 hr shifts As a member of our Ambulatory Float team, you will be exposed to Endoscopy, Outpatient Infusion, Pain Management, and Interventional Radiology/Nephrology. You will coordinate and provide all aspects of nursing care related to care before, during and after procedures, and collaborate with all disciplines to achieve the defined patient outcomes. Job Summary The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager, or supervisor. The Staff Nurse will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice. The Ambulatory Float RN will possess the ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and accurately document nursing care in four procedural and ambulatory areas including Endoscopy, Outpatient Infusion, Pain Management and Interventional Radiology/Nephrology. Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines to achieve defined patient outcomes. Demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. Needs to possess the skill to provide appropriate education to the patient and family regarding their plan of care. The Ambulatory Float RN must demonstrate excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families and coworkers.
