About The Position

Munson Medical Center is seeking an innovative, patient-centered Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist to join the care team at the Munson Family Practice Center. This role delivers comprehensive medication management for a diverse patient population with a strong emphasis on anticoagulation services. As a key member of an interdisciplinary team, the pharmacist will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize therapy, enhance safety, and support chronic disease management. The pharmacist will serve as the primary preceptor for ambulatory rotations for Munson Medical Center PGY1 residents and Ferris State University P4 students, while also engaging with the Munson Family Medicine Residency Program affiliated with Michigan State University Colleges of Osteopathic and Human Medicine. Responsibilities include leading anticoagulation management, providing direct patient care through office visits and telehealth, performing medication reviews, and developing individualized care plans. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, creativity, and a passion for advancing ambulatory pharmacy services. Requirements

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or higher
  • Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Michigan or eligible for licensure
  • Eligible for licensure/licensure requirements is defined as: State of Michigan licensure as a Registered Pharmacists is required within 90 days of employment
  • Those seeking licensure in the state of Michigan will have 90 days to do so. If at 90 days licensure is not obtained, continued employment will be evaluated and termination of employment may occur.
  • All clinical pharmacists job duties will be performed under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist until licensure in the State of Michigan is obtained AND training has been successfully completed.
  • Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
  • MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Nice To Haves

  • Health-system experience or PGY-1 residency completion preferred, but not required
  • PGY-2 Residency completion desired but not required for specialty areas (ED, OR, ONC)
  • Board Certification preferred, but not required
