Short Description To provide patient care under the supervision of RN in the ambulatory surgery setting: Assist with patient ADL’s and daily care Turn-over and cleaning of patient bays Transporting discharged patients via wheelchair to car Communicates and supports with healthcare team and patients’ family and/or significant others Maintains and demonstrates high standards of ethics Performs technical duties as directed by RN ex: Vital signs, POC testing, EKG, Foley cath care documents appropriately Attends staff meetings Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges from Units Handling of clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks Maintains work knowledge and regulatory standards Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills Performance of excellent customer service skills Overview The Cooper Surgery Center at Moorestown is a modern outpatient facility with six operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and an interventional radiology suite. Patients receive seamless care from pre-operative assessment through recovery, supported by a skilled surgical team and advanced technology. Specialties include general, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, vascular, and other minimally invasive procedures designed for faster recovery and greater comfort. Care goals are designed to reduce pain, limit complications, and help patients return to normal activity sooner.

Requirements

  • Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience
  • Electronic health record experience
  • Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills
  • Outstanding patient experience skills
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Critical Care Technician or Medical Assistant certification preferred
