Part-Time Position (20 hrs.): Monday-Friday, No Weekends/Holidays This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, experienced RN to join our innovative team while maintaining your IV and critical thinking skills in an ambulatory setting. If you have a strong interest in cardiology and are looking to be a part of a fast-paced clinic caring for patients in a variety of roles, this is the position for you. Our nurses rely on their strong assessment and critical thinking skills when caring for patients in the clinic and testing. They collaborate with all members of the care team to provide the highest quality and comprehensive care. This applicant will receive individualized training in our specialties and testing. Our patient population currently includes: clinical cardiology, heart failure, advanced heart failure, VAD, pre/pot heart transplant, and structural heart patients. This position includes participation in unit/service activities, strong teamwork, and flexibility. We are located on the ground floor of the ambulatory tower. Responsibilities
- Accountable for the provision of proficient patient care inclusive of complex patients.
- Assumes an expanded charge nurse role and assumes unit responsibility for orientation for new staff.
- May assume the role of care coordinator for a given group of patients, monitoring and evaluating patient care based on the unit standards of care.
- Actively involved in unit/service activities, contributing to outcomes from those groups.
