About The Position

In this role you will be: Providing support with gathering data to assist with the annual work plan, budgets, quality improvement programs, and preparation and maintenance of regulatory requirements. Supporting improvements to IT that complies with regulatory requirements and best practices. Adhering to appropriate IS policies including change management and security requirements and assisting in training end-users. Participating in the department’s performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Implementing, testing, and supporting computer programs and computer-based information systems including enhancements/major software updates and releases. Utilizing knowledge of current software systems, operation procedures, and technological developments. Assisting with maintaining systems and service status and work plans in fulfillment of project and support requirements. Collaborating on the development of policy and procedure, user documentation, assisting in user training, and providing ongoing support of information technology as needed. Supporting data gathering that complies with the organization’s goals and strategies to aid in preparation of annual budget and work-plan. Assisting in feasibility studies and cost analysis of system changes and project assessments, evaluations, and with determining information technology needs. Keeping current with principles and practices, technology, regulations, and standards that apply to healthcare information technology. Complying with project scope, budget, timeframe, and quality metrics to ensure work is completed to meet project milestones and deliverables. Providing accurate, timely estimates of requested work, evaluation of vendor proposals, and technology to secure needed services. Tracking project time using project management tools or software. Establishing and maintaining close working relationships with the IT service desk and other analysts to ensure appropriate escalation of issues and follow-up to reported problems. Adhering to departmental and IRMC practice standards and processes. Able to meet deadlines, be accurate, handle changing situations, and meet responsibilities. Able to work with a variety of people and manage stressful situations while maintaining a good working relationship with others. Attending department staff meetings as required and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Meeting and maintaining accrediting body, CMS, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and standards. Utilizing strong logic and analytical skills as well as computer systems, operations, system analysis, design, equipment, and healthcare IT industry knowledge. Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science/IT preferred Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in a healthcare or similar business environment preferred
