GENERAL PURPOSE: In an outpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD. Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication. FT position available (40 hours). Primarily days Monday-Friday; Hours may vary from 6a-7p Exciting LPN position available with fast paced Sleep Medicine Practice. Needs to work well in a team approach to provide quality care for sleep medicine patients. Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have excellent communication and organization skills.
  • One year LPN experience required.
  • Requires a diploma from an accredited LPN Nursing Program and an active New York State LPN license in good standing.

Nice To Haves

  • Ambulatory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, operating and adjusting various medical machines and equipment, such as but not limited to: dynamapp, pulse oximeter, electrocardiograph equipment and a variety of sleep specialty procedure instrumentation
  • Assisting lab staff with overnight and daytime study patient and equipment prep
  • Rooming patients
  • Triaging patient messages
  • Fulfilling stock and ordering requirements
