Ambulance Driver (PRN)
About The Position
Provides prompt, safe transportation for the patient, family members and staff during the transfer process. Defensive driving at all times and adheres to all traffic rules and regulations Assists the ED/EMS staff to assure continuity of care for the patient prior to and during the transfer process as indicated/requested Provides safety checks to ambulance prior to transporting, Reports deficiencies, malfunctions and/or needed repairs to manager Assists EMS staff after transferring a patient to restock, clean, refuel ambulances as indicated, assuring the ambulance is prepared for next transfer.
Requirements
- BLS certification
- Valid driver’s license.
- EVOC or equivalent within 1 year of employment
- Mandatory Reporting within 6 months of hire.
