Dispatch ambulances to scheduled runs to ensure appropriate medical transport care.
Communicate with supervisors regarding any events or problems during the shift.
Obtain pre-transport insurance authorizations as required.

High school diploma or GED.
Experience as a dispatcher in a relevant field (EMS/Clinical background preferred).
Tech-savvy with knowledge of computer-aided dispatch software (CAD).
Fast typing skills with experience in data entry.
Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations.
Proficient in English (oral and written).
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
Active listener with excellent communication skills.
Sound judgment and critical thinking.

Emergency medical technician training and certification (not required).
