About The Position

The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for an Ocean Club Concierge & Membership Ambassador to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining. Team Members who encompass the role take the initiative to deliver a unique and memorable experience by providing a wide range of services that makes the transaction feel like a part of an elevated experience for all guests and Members.

Responsibilities

• Gather, summarize, and provide information to guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities.
• Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem.
• Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks.
• Monitor club lounge for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
• Follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction.
• Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly.
• Respond to special requests from guests with unique needs.
• Communicate VIP arrivals and acknowledge any and all Member/ Owners of the Resort.
• Greet guests and determine the number in their party.
• Seat guests based on server rotation and cover count and by finding a clean, available table; pulling out chairs; placing clean/current menu in front of guest, etc.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and Buffet, providing any needed assistance.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well being of guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
