About The Position

This is a Vendor Central operations and client management role — not a media or advertising role. The person stepping in will be the day-to-day Amazon account owner for Hormel, embedded across client and internal workstreams. This resource manages the Amazon portal work, project tracking, and strategic ops behind the scenes. Responsibilities span Account Management, Brand Management, and Retailer Management.

Requirements

  • Deep Vendor Central (1P) expertise — must know how to navigate the platform, diagnose issues, and solve problems independently without hand-holding
  • PLEASE LIST YOUR VENDOR CENTRAL EXPERIENCE IN YOUR APPLICATION
  • PO management experience — accepting/declining orders, understanding cost implications and timing
  • Advanced Excel skills — comfortable with analysis, data pulls, and reporting
  • Forecasting and inventory planning within Amazon's ecosystem
  • Content operations: uploading product content, managing catalog health, submitting support cases
  • Client-facing poise — Hormel is a camera-on client; this person needs to show up polished and confident on calls
  • Strong project management — maintains trackers, manages multiple simultaneous workstreams, proactive communicator
  • Independent and self-directed — AMP does not want to babysit; this person needs to own their work

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with tentpole event planning on Amazon (Prime Day, etc.)
  • East Coast timezone for pre-9am ET reporting cadence
  • Experience navigating Amazon Vendor Negotiations

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for priorities and projects (includes managing communication flow between Contractor, Client and Amazon)
  • Heavy call and meeting schedule — both client-facing with Hormel (camera on, polished) and with AMP's sales and supply chain teams
  • Meeting with Amazon SBs, buyers, and Amazon Fresh contacts — needs to be confident running or co-running these conversations
  • PO management: Mondays + every other Tuesday — analyzing purchase orders, deciding what to accept vs. decline before approval windows close
  • Forecasting — pulling and analyzing sales and inventory data within Vendor Central
  • Catalog work: content uploads, new item setup, listing troubleshooting, submitting and managing Amazon support cases
  • Project tracking — maintaining and updating project trackers, managing timelines across multiple workstreams
  • Tentpole event planning — Prime Day analysis, funding and cost modeling, merch placement strategy
  • Ad hoc reporting and insights to support strategic planning and client communications
  • Producing and reviewing all NIS uploads
