What you will have an opportunity to do: We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused, AM Host/Hostess and Cashier to join our team! This is a dual role that works as both the Restaurant Greeter and Cashier. The Host/Hostess is responsible for for creating a warm and welcoming first impression when greeting each guest as they arrive to the restaurant. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude as they support the restaurant service team by looking looking for opportunities to assist guests with their needs or inquiries by providing excellent customer service. Additionally, it is your responsibility as the Cashier to Operate POS systems efficiently, handle cash/credit transactions, balance the register, and resolve billing issues to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations. Scheduling: This is a Full-Time position that requires to open availability to work any day of the week 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM with no scheduling restrictions, including weekends and holidays. The schedule will change weekly based on business demands. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in Restaurants! Requirements

  • Someone with an engaging and welcoming personality!
  • Someone with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate with guests and restaurant staff, both verbally and written.
  • Someone with a solid understanding of guest service behaviors and excellent interpersonal skills; able to effectively interact with guests and staff under pressure with high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Someone who is experienced using a computer and basic systems; mathematical and calculator skills are required.
  • Someone who can easily adapt to unexpected changes and prioritize tasks successfully ensuring guest satisfaction during busy periods.
  • Someone who can remain in a standing position, either stationary or walking, and move through-out restaurant and kitchen areas, including frequent and repeated climbing up and down stairs, for duration of shift.
  • Someone with the ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Someone who enjoys working in a restaurant environment, including exposure to various noise levels and large crowds.
  • Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification are required.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests with a smile upon arrival and provide them with menus.
  • Manage the seating chart and assign tables based on reservations and guest flow to maximize efficiency.
  • Answering the telephone and manage reservations for the restaurant and the private dining room, ensuring accurate records and accommodating special requests when possible.
  • Ensure the host area and dining room are clean, stocked and organized, including managing waiting areas and clearing tables.
  • Utilize the restaurant Micros Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system and procedures to process checks and all other transactions.
  • Provide support by preparing tables and assisting servers as needed.
  • Operate POS systems efficiently, handle cash/credit transactions, balance the register, and resolve billing issues to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations.
