About The Position
The position involves ensuring the dispatch of export vehicles as per schedule from Mumbai Port Trust (MPT). The candidate will be responsible for liaising with various agencies, including clearing and forwarding agencies, plant teams, and international operations teams, to facilitate the dispatch of vehicles. Additionally, the role requires handling safety practices at both the plant and MPT to maintain a safe environment. The candidate will also follow up with other plants for any required parts or pending vehicles as per the plan and coordinate with the plant safety team to carry out necessary audits at MPT. Furthermore, the role includes leading and coordinating digitization projects within the Vehicle Production Unit (VPU), which involves logic development, implementation, result monitoring, troubleshooting, and training users on production assembly systems. Monitoring the results of digitization projects, such as machine connectivity and digital travel cards, is also a key responsibility. The candidate will coordinate training for associates related to new projects and must possess knowledge of safety systems, policies, and activities pertaining to manufacturing.
