About The Position

The Hilton Americas-Houston is looking for their next AM Cook to join the 1600 Bar + Grille team! Connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center, Hilton Americas-Houston is the city's largest convention hotel. They will have the strong ability to prep, cook, and set up the daily breakfast buffet with attention to quality and presentation. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment is preferred! What will I be doing? As the AM Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Requirements

At least 2 years of cooking experience in a high volume kitchen environment
Strong ability to prep, cook, and set up the daily breakfast buffet with attention to quality and presentation

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
Prep all needed hot food items needed for the breakfast buffet
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
Work various kitchen line stations
Support fellow team members on the kitchen line
Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
