About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; some post-high school education or training preferred
  • Prior food service experience desired
  • Knowledge and skills in health and sanitation standards and procedures for food safety
  • Requires standing to a significant degree
  • Able to work a flexible schedule that will include early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Pleasant, professional, and helpful demeanor

Responsibilities

  • Prepares ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Takes orders and serves meals and beverages promptly and courteously
  • Communicates additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, or special requests to the kitchen
  • Prepares and cooks food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists
  • Processes all orders and collects payment from customers
  • Assists with busing, cleaning, and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, and cleaning food and beverage prep areas
  • Maintains cleanliness of work areas and follows all safety and sanitary guidelines
  • Completes opening and closing duties as required, including setup and cleanup of all areas
