About The Position

Syndeo is hiring for a 1st shift lab technician for an aluminum metal processing plant in Wichita, KS. In this position you will be performing hardness testing and support metallurgical lab processes.
Shift: Monday – Friday 5:30 am - 3:00 pm
Pay: $17/Hour based on skills, experience & work ethic

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail

• Comfortable working with tools and measurements
• Willing to learn hands‑on lab processes

• Hardness testing
• Microstructure or case depth analysis
• Lab saw operation
• Sample mounting or polishing

Responsibilities

• Perform manual hardness testing using lab equipment
• Prepare and inspect samples for accurate readings
• Document measurements and maintain clean work areas
• Learn micro‑hardness testing, polishing, and saw operation over time
• Use of an electric wand to get readings on aluminum metal
• Handle cold-mount chemicals safely (non‑burning and low‑risk)
