About The Position

The Group Fidelity's Equity Division is responsible for managing more than 129 diversified mutual funds and over 50 industry specific funds. Assets under management total more than $950 billion. The department consists of over 200 Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts and Research Associates. The Equity Trading group is made up of 62 trading professionals across our Boston, London and Hong Kong desks, providing 24hour access to global markets. The Equity Trading group manages execution, portfolio services and quantitative analysis for equity, derivatives, convertible bonds and foreign exchange. The Role Based in Boston, this role joins the Global Alternatives Trading team—a collaborative, high‑impact group responsible for executing and monitoring multi‑asset derivatives and swap positions that support a wide range of Fidelity investment strategies. The team works closely with investment professionals, as well as partners across compliance, operations, and quantitative analytics, to deliver best‑in‑class trading outcomes. The Value You Deliver Lead the daily execution of a multi‑asset orderbook, with particular focus on credit derivatives including CDX, Interest Rate Swaps, Inflation Swaps, and Swaptions Identify the most effective liquidity channels while minimizing market impact Serve as a subject‑matter expert on derivatives structure and implementation across fund strategies Continuously evaluate existing fund positions to uncover alpha‑enhancing opportunities Engage proactively with Fidelity portfolio managers to discuss security selection and deliver differentiated market insights Cultivate and manage external broker‑dealer relationships to achieve optimal execution and unique liquidity access Partner with quantitative analytics teams to evaluate transaction costs and drive ongoing cost efficiency Develop and maintain a deep understanding of global regulatory regimes and internal Fidelity policies The Experience and Skills You Bring Bachelor’s degree Significant experience (5+ years) trading derivatives Strong understanding of alternatives investment strategies and the ability to communicate concisely with investment professionals A disciplined risk mindset with exceptional attention to detail, prioritization, and multitasking skills Ability to thrive both independently and within a collaborative team environment Creative problem‑solving abilities and sound decision‑making judgment A critical, analytical approach and willingness to challenge the status quo with new ideas Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $250,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation. Requirements
