The Senior Platform Manager on the Alternative Investments Business Acceleration Team is responsible for supporting business development, chief operating office, content, communications, experience and product pipeline activities within the Alternative investments (“Alts”) line of business in wealth management at Bank of America. The Platform Consultant will collaborate with partners, including sales, service, origination, platform, marketing, finance, legal, risk, compliance, and FinTechs, to support strategic initiatives. This person will assist with maintaining and monitoring performance measures and metrics to ensure execution of business plan and drive innovation. Additionally, this person is expected to assist with ensuring that business operations are consistent in supporting the client strategy and the broader business strategy. Lastly, this person will be critical in supporting an optimal client and advisor experience with Alts including maintenance and oversight of all Alts content and communications. The broader Alts team is responsible for sourcing and managing product selection and investment experience across alternative investments such as hedge funds, managed futures funds, private equity funds, and non-traded real estate investment trusts (REITs). The products supported by the team are offered to suitable private clients across both the Merrill and BofA Private Bank distribution channels through both Financial Advisors (FAs) and Portfolio Managers (PMs).

Requirements

  • 8+ years across wealth/asset management, alternatives, product strategy, COO/business leadership, or enterprise program delivery
  • Strong analytical, technical, deck building, and stakeholder management skills
  • High proficiency in Copilot/Teams/Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to set strategy and execute across complex, cross functional programs; experience leading forums/operating committees and presenting to senior leadership
  • Expertise in advisor enablement, content governance, and digital experience; strong data literacy (usage/adoption, conversion, performance QA) and executive communications acumen
  • Bias for action, detail orientation, and ability to operate across matrixed teams under time bound deliverables
  • Client first, results focused, and collaborative; able to simplify complexity and drive measurable adoption
  • Comfortable operating in a highly regulated, enterprise environment with strong controls and audit discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development - Works with the Alts leadership team to continuously evaluate and refine strategy and priorities - Set the Alts business plan and roadmap; define adoption goals and measurement; drive market/competitive intelligence and fintech partnership strategy; steward quarterly business reviews and annual business plan.
  • - Develops robust senior executive ready communications and presentations that clearly outline and track strategic priorities - Build and refine executive ready decks (invitationals, offsites, leadership forums); coordinate seminars/events and leverage third party educational content; engage with industry/FinTech partners - Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Specialists, and Relationship Management teams to translate insights into adoption plays and measurable results
  • - Act as Alts point-of-contact for advisor committee strategy/presentations; present at high impact events (invitationals/offsites), third party education programs, and executive materials; manage key FinTech partner relationships - Partner with Marketing, Finance, Specialists, and RM leadership to operationalize campaigns that convert advisor interest into client investment; report outcomes
  • Chief Operating Office - Leads short- and long-term projects from framing strategic problems to executing analysis, driving insights, developing recommendations and implementation - Chair Alts leadership forums and operating reviews; govern portfolio of projects; SPI/process mapping; ensure policy/procedures remain audit ready; oversee EIT/QA testing and remediation.
  • - Manage vendors to deliver on enterprise standards; govern provisioning and access to resources - Sponsor Client Journey, Operational Excellence and Ops Resiliency programs and initiatives
  • Experience, Content & Communications - Works across Alts team and partners to develop deliberate and consistent communication, branding and education strategy - Own the communications strategy for enhancements, education, and technology forums; run stakeholder collaboration cadences
  • - Govern knowledge assets: website, centralize resources, advisor guides; ensure content quality, version control, and maintenance - Direct content management, distribution group stewardship, templates/disclosures, etc.
  • Product Pipeline - Oversee fund launch pipeline governance: status/timeline tracking, readiness gates, and advisor/client communications; ensure standardized signature pages and transactional templates - Coordinate with fund administrators/transfer agents on technology build outs and DLT/blockchain strategy; define investor specific questions and non-standard term configurations in partnership with product, legal, and operations
