About The Position

Oppenheimer Asset Management is seeking an individual to join its OAM Alternative Investment Group as an Investor Services Associate. This role is pivotal in supporting the processing and management of various alternative investment transactions, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and private credit funds. The Investor Services Associate will be responsible for processing and reviewing investor transactions, which encompass subscriptions, redemptions, and transfers. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of the financial services industry, particularly in relation to alternative investments. In this role, the Associate will assist Financial Advisors with inquiries related to the AIG platform, including client subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, and distributions. A significant part of the job involves reviewing and approving Anti-Money Laundering documents in accordance with US and Cayman regulations, ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence. The Associate will also interact with hedge fund principals and their fund administrators, fielding inquiries from Financial Advisors and internal sales teams regarding alternative investment offerings. The position requires effective communication with various internal groups, such as accounting, operations, legal, and compliance, to facilitate transaction processing and billing. The Associate will review the investor share register database to ensure that all transactions are accurately set up and completed. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with internal operational and business control departments to resolve client questions and issues, as well as assisting with daily administrative tasks, including answering phones, typing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records. The Investor Services Associate will also be responsible for responding to investor audit-related inquiries and providing periodic reports and feedback to senior management. The role may involve assisting in ad hoc projects to support AIG business initiatives, making it a dynamic and engaging position within the organization.
