About The Position

The Inspections Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that both company and customer quality standards are met consistently. With strong analytical skills, this individual evaluates audit findings to maintain high-quality standards. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct a meticulous 100% reinspection of all garments that failed inspection due to stains daily. This entails determining whether the apparel meets market acceptability for rental, is suitable for thrift, requires collaboration, or needs to be returned for stain removal.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school degree or GED is preferred
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in garment inspection
  • Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Knowledge on different types of stains a plus
  • Understanding the essential quality and construction of apparel (stitching techniques, measurements, etc.)
  • Ability to assess product as 1st quality using set criteria and range of tolerances
  • Possesses strong visual inspection skills, with the ability to discern color hue and shade variations consistently.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of apparel quality and construction, including stitching techniques and measurements.
  • Exhibits sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Works effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to see small details close up
  • Stand and walk throughout a shift
  • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
  • Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 5 5 pounds
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely as for the position which requires coordinated movements

Responsibilities

  • Conducts final audit inspections according to company standards, including adherence to Nuuly's 16-point quality inspection guidelines.
  • Inspects garments that have passed initial inspection and are awaiting storage, ensuring they meet first-quality or market acceptability criteria.
  • Thoroughly examines garments, identifying and flagging defects.
  • Communicates all inspection findings transparently with Inbound leadership, ensuring alignment with quality standards.
  • Maintains or exceeds quality and productivity standards set by the department.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, flexibility, and professionalism in verbal and written communications.
  • Utilizes scanning devices for inventory management.
  • Performs additional warehouse tasks as required.
  • Fosters a culture of teamwork through respectful interactions with colleagues.
  • Upholds a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assists in training new personnel and ensures compliance with departmental procedures.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
