About The Position

The Allocation Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory distribution across retail stores to maximize sales, margin, and inventory productivity. This role collaborates closely with Merchandising, Planning, Store Operations and the Store Field Team to ensure the right product is in the stores at the right time. This position plays a critical role in driving sell-through, reducing markdown risk, and improving overall assortment execution, and hitting allocation key performance metrics. This is a hybrid role; we work on site 4 days and remotely 1 day, weekly. Responsibilities

  • Determine and manage the product flow replenishment to the stores to support sales plan, promotional plans, and store capacity limitations for the given categories of product.
  • Define and maintain basic stock levels in the system. Analyze and adjust as needed.
  • Analyze sales, stock-to-sales ratios, weeks of supply, and sell-through metrics at the assortment level
  • Review the recommended purchase orders and determine appropriate store order changes to support sales plan and promotional cadence while maintaining the freight budget
  • Assist the Allocation Manager with maintaining the order cadence with regards to different warehouses, transportation planning points and the monthly freight budget
  • Develop and execute discontinued product liquidations and replacement product plans with the Buyers.
  • Manage the monthly contract cleanup process for stores, uploading new contracts and deallocating and rejecting the old contracts
  • Assist with creating and managing new store orders
  • Follow up on open purchase orders to maintain timely shipping, determine ship status of any open orders and request proof of deliveries as needed.
  • Review orders monthly to determine which ones need to be closed in the system for Finance
  • Adhere to auditing procedures as it relates to purchase order processing and purchase order follow up.
  • Distribute adhoc reporting as needed
  • Support Merchandising team with updating store promotions as needed
  • Own system maintenance to ensure maintenance of price/product changes that impact stores and websites.
  • Communicate and coordinate with merchants, inventory control, customer service, and distribution center and field staff
