About The Position

The Allison Transmission Technician at Interstate Power Systems is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty Allison transmissions in commercial vehicles. This role requires specialized knowledge of Allison transmissions and a proven track record in delivering high-quality service. The technician will work primarily on transmission-related issues and may also engage in diesel engine repairs and basic equipment wiring diagnostics.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience working with Allison transmissions.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Technical degree or Allison certification is a plus.
• Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and goal-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, remove, repair, and maintain heavy-duty Allison transmissions.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair transmission non-conformance.
• Perform diesel engine and bumper-to-bumper truck repairs.
• Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
• Perform other routine duties as assigned.
