About The Position

Job responsibilities include conducting training and assuring competency of students in a clinical setting and teaching clinical skills at area long term care facilities associated with Butler's CNA and CMA courses. This is a part-time faculty position as a clinical adjunct instructor. The applicant may be requested to authorize the College to procure a consumer report(s) for employment purposes. We regret that the College is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status.

Requirements

• Knowledge of CNA/CMA and KDADs course content and computer literacy required.
• Required personal attributes include integrity, emotional maturity, dependability, and effective communication skills.
• A minimum of two years of demonstrated nursing experience (at least one year in long term care) is required.
• A current license to practice nursing in the state of Kansas.
• Education at least one level above nursing courses being taught (i.e. LPN for CNA/CMA courses).

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of adult education methods and theories preferred.
• Experience as teacher within a nursing related program or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
• ADN or BSN.
