About the Team The Global Alliances and Partner Sales organization accelerates the growth of Genesys through a world class ecosystem of partners. The Strategic Technology Partnerships team works with the most strategic Agentic Ecosystem partners in the world, developing global go to market strategies, driving transformational customer programs, and scaling repeatable partner led practices. This team collaborates across sales, services, marketing, and product to unlock new value and deliver measurable impact through the partner ecosystem. About the Role The Senior Director, Global AWS Partnership will own and lead the global relationship between Genesys and Amazon Web Services with the primary objective of driving Genesys bookings. This executive will refine and execute our joint Go to Market strategy which is governed by our Strategic collaboration Agreement, deepen our commercial and technical alignment with AWS, and drive measurable business outcomes across co-sell, co-market, and co-build initiatives in alignment with Genesy Product teams. The ideal candidate brings strong, existing AWS senior-level relationships, prior experience working at AWS or managing a strategic AWS partnership, and proven expertise navigating AWS programs, teams, and processes—including the AWS Marketplace operations, AWS Partner Network (APN), and Strategic Collaboration Agreements (SCA). This role requires a strategic, collaborative, leader with operational acumen who can influence internal and external stakeholders, accelerate revenue through AWS routes to market, and represent Genesys at the highest levels across the partnership.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in cloud partnerships, cloud GTM strategy, business development, or alliance leadership.
  • Direct experience at AWS or managing a strategic AWS partnership, ideally with existing senior-level AWS relationships.
  • High level of competency leveraging of AI to supplement daily work and a high level of understanding of AI go-to-market strategies.
  • Deep understanding of AWS Marketplace mechanisms, private offers, procurement workflows, and partner programs.
  • Knowledge of Strategic Collaboration Agreements (SCA) or similar AWS strategic funding frameworks.
  • Proven ability to create and execute multi-year partnership strategies tied to measurable outcomes.
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and cross-functional leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Business Growth & Execution: Leverage the AWS partnership to drive incremental Genesys bookings. Make Genesys a key ISV for AWS Core AEs via seller enablement and joint marketing. Influence bi-directional pipeline growth, cultivate co-sell excellence, and deliver Marketplace bookings growth through joint go-to-market motions and campaigns – especially in strategic industries, regions, and Greenfield segments.
  • Strategic Relationship Ownership: Serve as the primary executive relationship owner between Genesys and AWS across business and field organizations and as the liaison between sales and product. Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-year partnership strategy aligned to both organizations’ priorities. Build and strengthen senior-level AWS relationships across Sales, Industry, Partner Development, Marketplace, and Product/Services teams. Lead the strategy and optimization of Genesys solutions on AWS Marketplace, including listing strategy, buyer experience, private offers, and adoption of new AWS Marketplace capabilities as well as the activation of AWS incentives made available via the Strategic Collaboration Agreement and Marketplace incentives. Oversee execution of our Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with AWS, ensuring target alignment, regular Business Reviews, deliverable tracking, and governance.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Legal to ensure roadmap alignment and successful execution of AWS partnership initiatives. Coordinate Marketplace transactions with finance and order management. Coordinate global field activation to maximize AWS seller engagement, co-selling performance, and deal velocity. Engage with executives and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency, strategic alignment, and partnership prioritization.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop reporting and KPIs for partnership performance, including co-sell metrics, Marketplace performance, SCA milestones, and joint marketing outcomes. Ensure compliance with AWS program requirements, messaging standards, and technical validation programs. Manage partnership budgets, joint funding programs (e.g., MDF/JMF), and business planning cycles.
