About The Position

The All-Star Competitive Cheer Instructor at V-Force Elite Gymnastics and Cheer is responsible for coaching and developing athletes in a competitive cheer environment. This role emphasizes teaching choreography, stunts, tumbling, and dance elements while fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The instructor will provide technical coaching and emotional support to prepare teams for high-level competitions, ensuring a positive and motivating atmosphere for athletes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience coaching competitive cheer at the All-Star or School comp level.
  • Strong knowledge of stunting, pyramids, tumbling, jumps, and dance elements required for competitive cheer routines.
  • Ability to spot athletes safely and effectively for tumbling and stunts.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with USASF (United States All Star Federation) guidelines and certification.
  • Knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques for cheerleading athletes.
  • Ability to choreograph dynamic routines that meet industry standards and competition rules.
  • Experience with competition day preparation, athlete management, and on-site support.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude when working with athletes of different skill levels.
  • Ability to foster team spirit and create an encouraging, energetic training atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead practices for All-Star competitive cheer teams.
  • Teach and refine stunts, pyramids, tumbling, jumps, and dance choreography.
  • Develop and teach competition routines that meet industry rules and scoring guidelines.
  • Prioritize athlete safety by following proper spotting techniques and maintaining risk management protocols.
  • Foster a positive, high-energy environment where athletes feel supported and motivated.
  • Monitor athlete progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust training plans as needed.
  • Attend cheer competitions, providing guidance and support to athletes on competition days.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and program staff about team goals, schedules, and performance expectations.
  • Stay current with USASF rules, competition guidelines, and industry best practices.
