About The Position

Pherson is seeking an All-Source Intelligence Analyst to support analytic production and operational intelligence requirements for the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Nation State Threat Center (NSTC). The analyst will conduct research and produce finished intelligence products that assess adversarial nation state threats, applying established analytic tradecraft standards and sourcing requirements. Responsibilities include drafting assessments ranging from short-form operational reporting to longer strategic analyses, preparing and delivering briefings, responding to RFIs, and contributing to stakeholder engagement activities. The analyst will also support real-time intelligence needs and assist in preparing products suitable for dissemination at multiple classification levels. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution with preferred concentrations in areas such as International Studies or Affairs, Economics, International Trade, Intelligence, Public Administration, Public Policy, American Government/Governance, or Law/Legal Studies.
  • Demonstrated experience applying critical thinking acumen displayed by the ability to analyze information, evaluate evidence, and make reasoned decisions or judgments. Skills required include logical reasoning, problem-solving, and the ability to assess situations objectively while maintaining awareness and avoidance of biases.
  • Possess excellent oral, writing, and coordination skills to communicate information clearly and concisely, under pressure and with tight deadlines that exceeds established analytical standards.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite and DHS data systems.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience working economic security issues related to, counterintelligence, supply chain vulnerabilities, illicit trade, emerging and disruptive technologies, or foreign investment.
  • Knowledge of the DHS I&A intelligence authorities, DHS component missions, and the role of I&A in supporting the DHS Intelligence Enterprise; overall I&A intelligence research, analysis, and production process.
  • Experience demonstrating knowledge of critical threats to US economic competitiveness and counterintelligence including, but are not limited to, supply chain vulnerabilities, illicit trade, foreign malign economic influence, emerging and disruptive technologies, foreign intelligence entities, non-traditional collection activities, and intellectual property theft.
  • An understanding of nation state political-economic analytic expertise conducive to foreign malign economy analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. Intelligence Community Directives ICD 203 and ICD 206 and analytic tradecraft, experienced in research and applying analytic techniques and methodologies, has strong research and writing skills.
