About The Position

DEUTZ is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of innovative drive systems. Its core competences are the development, production, distribution and servicing of diesel, gas and electric drivetrains for professional applications that is used in construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment, stationary equipment, commercial vehicles, rail vehicles and other applications. Position Summary Diesel shop technicians' heavy machinery, responsibilities include inspecting and diagnosing diesel engines and related systems (brakes, transmission, electrical, hydraulics, engine, tracks), performing routine maintenance like oil changes and filter replacements, repairing or replacing faulty parts, and conducting test drives to ensure proper function. They also use diagnostic tools, adhere to safety regulations, and communicate with shop managers about necessary repairs.

Responsibilities

• Conducting physical inspections and visual checks of diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Using diagnostic tools and computerized systems to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Interpreting diagnostic test results to pinpoint the cause of malfunctions.
• Performing preventive maintenance, such as oil changes, filter and fluid checks.
• Repairing or replacing worn-out or damaged components, including engines, transmissions, injectors, and cooling systems.
• Addressing issues with critical vehicle systems like brakes, steering, and exhaust, electrical, hydraulics.
• Conducting test drives to evaluate vehicle performance and verify repairs have been successful.
• Ensuring emissions control systems and other components meet federal and state regulations.
• Adhering to strict safety procedures and company policies while working.
• Using power, machine, and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
