About The Position

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, providing shift supervision, training employees, assigning tasks, and assisting with staffing on the production floor. This role ensures that production goals are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience using various manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge of a manufacturing and production company, preferably in the printed circuit industry.
• General knowledge of all production processes in the area.
• Computer skills including Excel and Word, and knowledge of company ERP system.

• Experience in the printed circuit industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production and provide shift supervision.
• Confer with supervisor to schedule shift workflow and ascertain production expectations.
• Assign work and set priorities during daily communication meetings.
• Answer questions on workflow and provide best manufacturing practices.
• Resolve problems throughout the shift and recommend future resolutions.
• Use Lean Manufacturing techniques to set up efficient production cells.
• Support staff and enforce operating policies and SOPs.
• Incorporate the '5S's' and Lean Manufacturing Systems into the area.
• Coordinate management objectives with the work floor to meet company goals.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within cells.
• Maintain visual management boards within cells.
• Fill in production roles when needed, if certified.
• Acclimate new employees to safety procedures and performance expectations.
• Train employees on processes and evaluate training progress.
• Participate in candidate interviews and support Production Supervisors with new hire selection.
• Support Production Supervisors on performance appraisals and attendance tracking.

Benefits

• Full-time position with a pay range of $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
• In-person work location with a Monday to Friday schedule.
