The User Experience Researcher position at Alibaba.com is a critical role within our rapidly-growing User Experience Design & Research team, which is dedicated to enhancing the B2B e-commerce platform for our global business customers. This team is composed of a diverse group of talented individuals, including designers, content strategists, and user researchers, all working collaboratively to create a world-class user experience. The role involves close collaboration with product and business teams across various regions, including North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, to ensure that we are effectively serving our customers' needs. As a User Experience Researcher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive research plan aimed at uncovering actionable insights that will inform the user experience for both web-based applications and mobile devices. The research conducted will be agile, adapting to the rapid pace of innovation within the team. You will leverage your deep understanding of user research methodologies to lead the team in delivering high-quality outputs while managing stakeholder expectations, overlapping projects, and competing priorities. Your role will require you to independently identify and prioritize research questions based on business needs and project goals. You will design and execute various research studies using effective methods such as desk research, interviews, focus groups, usability testing, surveys, and competitive analysis. Additionally, you will analyze qualitative and quantitative data to extract insights and make actionable recommendations that can drive product and business impact. Your ability to lead and engage with team members, as well as collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers, will be essential throughout the research, design, and product development processes.
