About The Position

The Business Development Manager for Alibaba Cloud's Global Key Account team in Sunnyvale, CA, is responsible for driving business growth by cultivating existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities in the global market. This role emphasizes understanding customer needs, delivering technical value, and collaborating across functions to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the technology industry with cloud computing solutions and a proven track record of exceeding business goals.
  • Ability to quickly establish trusting relationships with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Understanding of technology, cloud computing solutions, and digital transformation from a business perspective.
  • Strong team player capable of directing collaborative efforts across a large organization.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously with urgency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment across different time zones.
  • Expect 40% or more business travel.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking abilities.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Establish customer relationships and expand business opportunities by initiating conversations and gaining customer trust.
  • Identify and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations to secure support for collaboration.
  • Regularly engage with existing and potential customers to stay informed about their business plans, budgets, and technical environments.
  • Help customers understand the technical value of Alibaba Cloud's products and their competitive advantages in the market.
  • Explain Alibaba Cloud product solutions to customers, either independently or with support from Solution Architects, tailored to their business scenarios.
  • Provide full lifecycle support to customers, integrating resources to ensure project success and resolving any product usage issues.
  • Conduct research to gather account intelligence, identify stakeholders, and build relationships with IT decision-makers.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range between $127,200 and $200,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
