Description of Organization: The Baruch STEP Academy is an academic enrichment program focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and providing college preparation. Managed through the CUNY Research Foundation, we serve 200 middle and high school students throughout the city each year. The Spring 2026 Intensive Regents Prep Program will operate over 4 Saturday: May 9 through June 6, excluding May 23. Course Description: This course will review content within the common core curriculum and prepare students for the regents exam.

Requirements

Availability for each session from 9am-2pm
Strong background in the subject area
Only candidates that submit a cover letter will be considered.

Nice To Haves

Degree in mathematics or math education
Prior teaching experience with high school
Possess good interpersonal skills with adolescents and a strong understanding of their maturity levels
Enthusiasm for the subject with flexibility in adjusting curriculum to reflect students' abilities
Experience in a teaching capacity in subject area
Experience with designing/implementing a course curriculum
Have a strong classroom management style
