Location: Alaska Rotation: 14x14 or 21x21 (days or nights, including weekends and holidays) 1-2 years experience as a Rig Mechanic. Ability to wear respiratory protective devices. Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of diesel engines and mechanical devices. Repetitively bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl, often while in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Ability to work outdoors in extreme Arctic conditions, including subzero temperatures, snow, and ice. Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions. Must pass all required pre-employment and site-specific drug and fitness-for-duty testing. Must possess a valid Driver's License (no restrictions) - Real ID compliant, suitable for travel to Alaska and the North Slope. Ensures the regular preventative maintenance activities for the mechanical components of the rig are accomplished. Installs, repairs, and tests all mechanical equipment at the rig site. Conducts safety inspections of all major pieces of equipment, making repairs, adjustments, and calibrations as required. Ensures that an adequate amount of spare parts are on hand at all times. Submits requisitions as needed. Participates in rig down and rig up activities to ensure proper disconnect, transportation, and connection of mechanical equipment. Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
