The Alaska based EMT position is a full-time role located in Anchorage, Alaska, specifically within the Anchorage Safety Patrol/Center (ASP/C). This position is ideal for individuals who are certified EMTs at any level and are looking to make a meaningful impact in their community. The EMTs will be integral members of the ASP team, primarily responsible for responding to emergency calls involving individuals incapacitated by substance use. The role requires a compassionate approach to emergency medical care, as well as the ability to employ nonviolent de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety and dignity of clients in crisis situations. EMTs will work alongside trained drivers to transport clients safely to the Anchorage Safety Center (ASC) or other medical facilities, ensuring that all interactions are handled with care and respect. Additionally, EMTs will monitor individuals at the ASP Safety Center, providing necessary medical assessments and care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
