This position is responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of alarm security systems. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and performing system checks in accordance to fire code; identifying code and system deficiencies and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of two years' experience in security alarm/access control industry
  • State issued TST License highly desired
  • Experience with commercial systems preferred
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Display knowledge of principles, practices, codes and regulations related to the work
  • Interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations without supervision
  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments
  • Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy
  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required
  • Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Industrial, Commercial, & Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heights.
  • Mostly a physically demanding role. Most of the daily demand is standing and walking stairs and climbing ladders.
  • May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install or update burglar alarms, IT cameras and access control systems in commercial buildings.
  • Test and repair existing alarm/IT cameras and access controls systems to the prescribed standards
  • Perform routine inspections
  • Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers equipment as needed
  • Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
  • Inspect and maintain company truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation
  • Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Perform other duties assigned by management
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
