Securitas Technology is seeking an Alarm Monitoring Operator I to join our state-of-the-art 24/7 Alarm Monitoring Center. This full-time position requires working 2nd or 3rd shift schedules, which may include holidays and weekends. As an Alarm Monitoring Operator, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers by accurately and efficiently responding to alarm signals. Your responsibilities will include managing alarm events, verifying security information, notifying and updating emergency services such as fire and police agencies, and ensuring that customers are properly informed of events. This role is similar to that of a 911 emergency dispatcher, requiring attentiveness and the ability to perform procedures with quick and accurate responses, as our industry is focused on life safety. In this position, you will be responsible for responding to all incoming alarm signals using our automation software according to documented procedures. When necessary, you will call the premise, notify the authorities, and contact a list of designated contacts. It is essential to log all information into the automation system immediately and accurately. You will also be required to answer a multi-line telephone system and ensure the confidentiality of customer information at all times. This role demands a high degree of urgency and accuracy, as well as good interpersonal communication and organizational skills. A positive attitude towards teamwork and continuous improvement is essential for success in this position.
