Help people when they need it most. Emergency24 is hiring an Alarm Monitoring Dispatcher Emergency Responsed to support our 24/7 emergency monitoring operations. Dispatchers are the first point of contact during alarm events and play a critical role in protecting people and property across the country. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role for people who stay calm under pressure, follow process precisely, and take pride in doing important work the right way. What You’ll Do Respond to fire, burglary, panic, medical, and other alarm activations Verify alarm events and dispatch police, fire, or emergency responders nationwide Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with urgency and accuracy Monitor alarm and video systems using Emergency24 technology Support subscribers, customers, alarm technicians, and internal teams Follow established scripts, protocols, and documentation requirements Maintain professionalism in time-sensitive, high-stakes situations Training & Schedule Paid, in-house training (~8 weeks) Training is on-site, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (first 30 days) New Employee shifts include weekends Night Shift (Preferred) Overnight Shift (Preferred) This role supports 24/7 operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays Pay & Additional Earnings $18.00–$24.00/hour (based on experience and role alignment) Performance-based incentive opportunities $1.00/hour premium for 3rd shift Scheduled overtime: 1.5x Unscheduled overtime: double time Holidays: triple time (after 4 months of employment) Weekly paychecks What a Typical Shift Is Like You will be on the phone a lot — handling continuous inbound and outbound calls Calls often involve urgent or stressful situations You’ll work across multiple systems at the same time while speaking with callers Accuracy matters more than speed — mistakes can’t be undone Some calls are routine; others require intense focus and emotional control Why Emergency24 Paid training and structured onboarding Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Referral bonus program Opportunities for advancement Remote work eligibility may be considered for top performers after tenure and security requirements are met Work Environment This position is based at our Des Plaines, IL headquarters and requires in-person presence to support 24/7 monitoring operations. Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities for overtime.
