About The Position

Per Mar Security Services, established in 1953, is the largest family-owned, full-service security company in the Midwest, with over 2,600 team members across 25 branch locations. The company offers comprehensive security solutions for homes and businesses, including security officer services, smart home automation, burglar and fire alarms, access control, security cameras, alarm monitoring, investigative services, and background checks. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our nationally recognized, Five Diamond Certified Monitoring Center as Dispatchers. This role is crucial as Dispatchers serve as the life-saving link between residential or business properties and local police, fire, and emergency services. The position requires detail orientation, customer focus, and a desire to help others.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• One to three years of dispatching, call center, and/or multi-line phone experience highly preferred.
• Strong customer service focus/skills are a must.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel; internet skills required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Possess the ability to multi-task and pay strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Answer and follow up on incoming signals, alarms, and requests.
• Initiate outbound calls to customers, police agencies, and emergency contacts.
• Accurately document accounts to note any events that occurred or actions taken.
• Work additional hours when necessary to fill open shifts and cover during storms.
• Inform customers of Per Mar Security Services' products and services and refer business to appropriate departments when appropriate.
• As the position develops, the employee may be assigned additional duties or special projects as deemed necessary by management.
